Join a contract Physical Therapy team in Albuquerque, NM. This 14-week travel assignment starts ASAP and follows a 35-hour weekly schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,876/35-hrs; Local rate $1,848/35-hrs.

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license for the state of practice
  • CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical history, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to identify patient needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals and adapt them based on progress.
  • Design and deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Employ manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) and modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and promote healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide training to maximize safety and independence.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support post-operative and post-injury rehabilitation to restore independence and improve quality of life.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; revise plans of care as indicated.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records (assessments, treatments, progress notes) and ensure confidentiality, informed consent, and adherence to legal/ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide patient-centered care that respects diverse backgrounds.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
