Locum tenens opportunity for an Interventional Cardiologist to provide inpatient, call-only coverage in Beckley, WV (25801) from Jun 22, 2026 – Jul 06, 2026. This position is beeper call with a 30-minute response expectation. Coverage supports a facility with a current vacancy while a long-term permanent search is underway. Agency will cover travel, lodging, and malpractice.

Clinical scope

• Primary responsibility: STEMI call coverage and availability for consults on unassigned cardiology inpatients.
• Perform credentialed interventional procedures in the cath lab as required.
• No supervising of other providers anticipated.
• Patient volume, admissions, and phone consults vary; rounding limited to unassigned patients.

Facility and resources

• Location: Inpatient service setting in Beckley, WV.
• Cath lab resources: 2 cath labs; 3 exam rooms.
• EMR: MediTech.
• Support staff: 7 RNs, 8 MAs/techs.
• Specialty backup: Two full-time interventional cardiologists on staff.

Privileges and logistics

• Temporary hospital privileges available; permanent hospital privileges are not required.
• Call ratio varies. Agency provides travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Board-certified (BC) required; fellowship preferred.
• WV medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) accepted.
• Current BLS and EMTALA certifications required.
