Neonatologist — Level III 70-Bed NICU, Macon GA (Neonatal Intensive Care, Sign-On + Relocation)

Location: Macon, GA — Inpatient, 70-bed Level III NICU

Schedule: Permanent position; flexible rotation schedule with shared on-call rotation (clinical + call); ongoing coverage

Patient Population & Clinical Scope:

• Premature and critically ill newborns
• Neonatal intensive care with advanced therapies
• Admissions and daily rounding; phone consults as needed

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive NICU management
• Perform/high-level experience with: high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling
• Participate in shared call rotation
• No newborn nursery responsibility

Team & Facility:

• 70-bed Level III NICU within a Level I trauma center
• Multidisciplinary team: 7 neonatologists, 6 neonatal nurse practitioners, pediatric subspecialists, pediatric surgery, maternal-fetal medicine
• Academic affiliation: opportunity for appointment with Mercer University School of Medicine

Qualifications:

• BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine; completion of neonatology fellowship
• Active Georgia medical license required
• DEA registration
• Clean professional record strongly preferred
• Most recent NPDB self-query report (within 30 days)
• Relevant NICU experience required
• J-1 visa candidates accepted
