Join a busy Level III NICU in Spartanburg, SC, caring for premature and critically ill newborns in a supportive, team-oriented environment. You’ll be working in a 35-bed unit with an average daily census of 25–29 infants and roughly 370–400 NICU admissions a year. The hospital handles about 3,400–3,900 deliveries annually and offers strong subspecialty backup, including pediatric cardiology, pediatric surgery, ophthalmology, and maternal-fetal medicine. The group currently includes four neonatologists with 24/7 NNP coverage.
What the schedule looks like
- Clinical: 1 week on / 1 week off (specific shift times TBD)
- Call: Shared NICU call with every-other-night coverage
- Rounding is included; phone consults as needed
Clinical scope and procedures
- Advanced neonatal intensive care and high-acuity management
- High-frequency ventilation and therapeutic hypothermia
- Routine well-baby rounding and comprehensive NICU care

Qualifications
- BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine; fellowship-trained neonatologist
- Active South Carolina medical license
- DEA registration
- Clean professional record strongly preferred
- Recent NPDB self-query report (within 30 days)
- Prior neonatology experience required
