Job Description
We’re looking for a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Bangor, ME team as the Lead Provider. This role is a great fit for an experienced APP who loves hands-on urgent care medicine and is excited to lead, mentor, and support clinical staff in a busy, fast-paced environment. You’ll be the clinical point person for the site, helping ensure excellent patient care, onboarding and guiding new graduates, and fostering a collaborative, safety-focused culture.
What you’ll do:
- Provide comprehensive urgent care to patients across the lifespan
- Serve as the clinical leader for all on-site clinical staff
- Mentor and support new graduate NPs/PAs and allied health professionals
- Promote evidence-based practice and maintain high clinical standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical protocols and quality metrics
- Help streamline workflows and support a positive patient and staff experience
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- National certification from a recognized NP or PA certifying body
- Active Maine license, or eligibility for licensure
- Unrestricted DEA license (must have and maintain)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is strongly preferred
- Previous leadership, mentorship, or precepting experience is a plus
Compensation & benefits:
- Hourly rate: $80.00 – $85.00
