Locum Orthopedic/Trauma Physician Assistant (PA) — Beaumont, TX — $800/Shift

Hospital-based role supporting a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgery team in Beaumont, TX. Provide 24/7 orthopedic and trauma coverage across ER, OR, and inpatient settings.

Practice setting

• Hospital orthopedic and trauma service
• Team-based care with orthopedic trauma surgeons and APPs
• Clinical work spans emergency department, operating room, and inpatient units

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage orthopedic and trauma patients (ED, pre-/post-op, inpatient)
• Perform consults, assist in operative cases, and provide procedural support (splinting, casting, wound care)
• Manage post-operative care, rounding, discharges, and transitions of care
• Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate with attendings

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active Texas NP license (or ability to obtain)
• National NP certification (AANP/ANCC) required
• 1–2+ years’ experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care
• Strong procedural skills and ability to work in high-acuity settings
