Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (Family Medicine) — Correctional Health, Green Bay WI

We’re seeking a Family/General Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Green Bay, WI. This position begins ASAP and runs for 26 weeks, working weekdays from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Compensation is $80/hour.

You’ll need an active Wisconsin RN license and NP certification with prescriptive authority, a current DEA registration, and BLS certification. Strong knowledge of advanced nursing theory, pharmacology, diagnostics, and correctional health practices is required. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, manage a wide range of patient needs, and respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.

In this role you’ll perform physical exams, assess health status, and make medical diagnoses. You’ll prescribe and monitor medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide preventive care as well as acute and chronic illness management for persons in custody. Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record is essential. You’ll also take part in quality improvement efforts, staff training, and patient education, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the Department of Corrections’ reentry programs and evidence-based care initiatives.
