Join a fast-paced cardiovascular unit in Chico, CA as a travel Registered Nurse. This day-shift assignment starts at 7:00 a.m., begins ASAP, and is a 36-hour contract at $2,686.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver direct nursing care to CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring.
• Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses to interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments safely and according to orders.
• Recognize and act on changes in patient condition, including emergency situations.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Teach patients and families about cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Follow unit policies, protocols, and safety standards, and take part in quality improvement and continuing education efforts.

What we’re looking for:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or other critical care settings preferred.
• Strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and effective communication.
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and relevant procedures.
