We’re seeking a skilled CRNA to join a busy Level I trauma hospital in York, PA, for a locum tenens assignment from September 21, 2026 to December 21, 2026. This is clinical-only hospital coverage, Monday through Friday with variable daytime shifts (typically 0615–1645, 0630–1630, or 0700–1700).

You’ll provide anesthesia care for patients of all ages across a wide variety of settings and case types: trauma, neuro & spine, cardiac, thoracic, vascular (including APS), NORA, OB/GYN, general surgery, GI, pediatrics, plastics, ortho, and robotics. Patient volumes vary by location.

The department supports a 593-bed facility using Epic. Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges can be arranged for urgent needs with a clean file and leadership approval. Credentialing generally takes about 90 days.

Required skills and procedures:

  • General endotracheal anesthesia (GETA) and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
  • Regional and spinal anesthesia, including ultrasound-guided techniques
  • Independent performance of epidurals (without physician present)
  • Experience with trauma, neuro & spine, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, OB/GYN, pediatric, orthopedic, robotics, and NORA cases

Qualifications:

  • Active PA nursing license
  • CRNA board certification
  • ACLS and PALS certifications
  • Minimum ~2 years’ experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, comprehensive anesthesia care across a broad case mix under medical direction (typical medical direction ratio 1:3, maximum 1:4)
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments, create anesthesia plans, and provide intraoperative management
  • Perform GETA, MAC, regional, spinal, epidural, and ultrasound-guided techniques as indicated
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and specialty teams in a high-acuity trauma center
