Requirements:
- Active Virginia LPN license
- CPR certification
Primary responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and provide nursing care to inmates under the supervision of a physician and/or RN
- Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information accurately
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments
- Prepare and maintain rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supply inventory
- Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition; provide appropriate emergency interventions
- Coordinate with medical and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care
- Follow state regulations and facility policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by facility management
