Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Contract Clinical Nursing, Correctional Facility (State Farm, VA)

We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the care team at a correctional facility in Hampton, VA. You’ll work collaboratively with physicians, RNs, and other health staff to deliver high-quality nursing care while following facility policies and state standards.

What you’ll need

• Active Virginia LPN license
• Current CPR certification

What you’ll be doing

• Participate in inmate screening, evaluation, and care under the supervision of a physician and/or RN.
• Record medical information and vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Set up rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies; help maintain inventory.
• Coordinate with medical and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor, document, and report changes in patients’ condition and symptoms.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions during emergencies.
• Follow all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility.
