Summary:
Float Pool RN needed for night shift in Rockford. Primary assignment: ICU with possible float to Medical-Surgical. Extensive cardiac experience required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Illinois RN license
• CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (current)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience, including ICU experience
• Strong cardiac nursing background; willing to float to Med-Surg as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards, hospital policies, and state laws
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans; provide patient/family education
• Document care and assessments according to standards of care
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and quality experience; escalate concerns appropriately
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance as required
• Offer clinical expertise and guidance across units to support continuity of care

Working Conditions:

• Night shift, 36-hour schedule
• Contract travel assignment for 8 weeks in Rockford, IL
