Overview:
Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit. Follow facility policies, documentation standards, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care.

Required qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Hawaii or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for medical-surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and scope of practice
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs
• Participate in unit teamwork, patient education, and discharge planning

Certifications/Compliance:

• Maintain BLS and any facility-required credentials throughout assignment
• Comply with facility onboarding, background checks, and immunization requirements as applicable
