Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology coverage ~2 weeks/month, ongoing.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiology services: rounding, admissions, and phone consults (~2/day).
• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures.
• Participate in beeper call and respond within 30 minutes as required.
• Document all patient encounters in Cerner and Athena EMR.

Patient Volume & Support

• Average daily volume: 15 patients/day; average admissions: 1/day.
• Support staff: 2 RNs, 4 MAs, 2 PA/NPs, 2 office staff.

Requirements & Credentials

• Board eligible in Interventional Cardiology; fellowship required.
• Licensed in Alaska.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ABLS.
