Adelphi seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver school-based speech and language services in Prineville, Oregon. The SLP will collaborate with school administrators and staff to assess, plan, and provide evidence-based services that support student communication needs and comply with professional and district standards.

Minimum requirements

  • MA or MS in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Eligible for an Oregon Teaching License with Speech Impaired endorsement or for licensure by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
  • Experience providing itinerant services in public schools

Preferred qualifications

  • Current CPR training
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience and interest in working with children, including those with special needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, able to follow through with minimal supervision
  • Well-developed organizational skills

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and participate on multidisciplinary assessment teams
  • Manage referrals and assigned caseloads in accordance with district policies and timelines
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs; document progress toward goals and update plans as needed
  • Provide direct and indirect speech, language, and hearing services aligned with IEPs and student needs
  • Plan individualized instruction that accounts for cultural, behavioral, motivational, and ability differences while maintaining high expectations
  • Communicate and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners regarding student progress, services, and supports
  • Maintain required documentation, records, and confidentiality; ensure legal and policy compliance
  • Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment that preserves student dignity and supports learning
  • Contribute professionally through punctuality, appropriate conduct, collaboration, supervision of assistants/volunteers, in-service presentations, curriculum adherence, and ongoing professional development
  • Perform other duties as assigned
