Schedule: Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00
Call schedule: Weeknights Mon–Fri 19:00–07:00 (beeper); Weekends 07:00–07:00 (24 hr)
Call ratio: 6:1
Call response time: 20 minutes
Coverage type: Clinical + Call
Reason for coverage: Scheduling need
Travel, lodging, malpractice: Covered by agency
EMR: Cerner
Patient/volume:
- Average daily volume: ~30 cases/day
- Phone consults: 1–2/day
Required duties:
- Provide diagnostic surgical pathology and frozen section interpretation
- Grossing/cutting of specimens and frozen sections
- Cover beeper call on weeknights and 24-hour weekend call with 20-minute response
- Collaborate with pathologist assistants and lab staff to manage daily caseload
- Enter and report results accurately and timely in Cerner
Preferred/optional skills:
- Dermatopathology, GI, GU, neuropathology, hematopathology (including bone marrow and lymph nodes)
- Bone marrow aspiration/biopsy performance and interpretation
- Pediatric tumor pathology, cytology, GYN and non-GYN cytology
- Performance of FNAs
- Autopsy (forensic and non-forensic)
- Hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, blood bank experience
Credentials:
- Board: Board Eligible
- Licenses: Montana license or IMLC (Universal License)
- Certifications: BLS
