Trauma/ACS Nurse Practitioner or PA — Training Provided, OR First-Assist Role in Stockbridge, GA

Join a leading trauma center in Stockbridge, GA as a dedicated provider on our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) team. We welcome experienced clinicians as well as new graduates or early-career APPs—training is available for candidates with a solid clinical foundation and strong interest in trauma and surgical care.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with attending physicians to manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients
• Conduct initial assessments, daily rounds, consults, and discharge planning
• Perform and assist with credentialed procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, tube placement)
• First-assist in the OR and manage pre- and post-operative care
• Participate in trauma activations and resuscitations as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Accurately document all encounters and procedures in the EMR
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Pursue ongoing training and professional development to expand trauma/ACS competencies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active Georgia license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• BLS and ACLS required; ATLS preferred
• Minimum one year of clinical experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
• Interest or background in surgical/critical care preferred
