Requirements:
- Current Virginia LPN license
- Minimum 1 year corrections experience
- CPR certification
- Resume required
- Open to local and out-of-state candidates
Primary responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and provide nursing care to inmates under RN/physician supervision
- Record medical information and vital signs
- Prepare patients for and assist with exams and treatments
- Prepare and maintain rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Coordinate with medical and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care
- Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition
- Provide appropriate emergency nursing interventions
- Comply with state requirements and facility policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility
