Locums Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist — Outpatient, Multidisciplinary Team in Mansfield, CT

Join an established behavioral health program in Mansfield Center, Connecticut, providing outpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents across a full spectrum of mental health diagnoses. This role emphasizes collaborative, multidisciplinary practice and offers a balanced clinical pace in a supportive setting.

Position highlights

• Outpatient practice with an average caseload of 10–12 patients per day
• Responsible for at least two discharges daily
• Program: 28-bed facility serving children and adolescents
• Multidisciplinary care model coordinating psychiatry, therapy, and nursing

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage ongoing psychopharmacologic treatment
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with therapists, nursing staff, and other providers to ensure coordinated care
• Lead discharge planning and support continuity of care post-discharge
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Comfortable practicing in an outpatient setting
• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
