Job Description
Join a well-established vascular surgery team in Twin Falls, Idaho, providing locum coverage to support a mature program that serves Southern Idaho and nearby communities. You’ll step into a fully supported practice with a dedicated vascular clinic and lab, strong referral relationships, and complete OR resources—ideal for a surgeon who wants to focus on excellent patient care without administrative burden.
What you’ll do
- Provide vascular surgery call coverage for the Emergency Department and respond to urgent consults.
- Evaluate and manage urgent clinic referrals and inpatient vascular issues.
- Perform vascular surgical procedures as indicated, working with fully equipped ORs.
- Collaborate closely with experienced nurse practitioners and physician assistants for daily patient care and follow-up.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning alongside hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine, and trauma teams.
- Maintain clear, timely medical documentation.

Patient flow and teamwork
- Urgent vascular interventions typically begin with ED admission.
- Medical admissions are coordinated with hospitalists and intensivists.
- Trauma cases are managed by the trauma service with vascular consultation as needed.
- APPs support both inpatient and outpatient care to ensure continuity and efficient throughput.
Qualifications
- MD or DO.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
- Completion of an accredited vascular fellowship or an integrated vascular surgery training program.
- Idaho medical license preferred or ability to obtain one.
- Current DEA registration required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
Compensation and support
- Competitive above-market hourly rate.
- All travel arrangements handled and booked by the group, in addition to the per-shift rate.
- Professional liability and tail insurance provided.
- A personal locum consultant will assist with credentialing and scheduling.
