Trauma Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon — Orthopedic Trauma & Acute Care, Tucson AZ

What you’ll do

• Provide orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery coverage, partnering closely with an experienced orthopedic trauma surgeon.
• Manage high-acuity trauma cases with a particular focus on pelvic and acetabular fractures.
• Perform operative care and deliver comprehensive post-operative management and outpatient follow-up.
• Participate in trauma call coverage and support acute care surgery needs.
• Collaborate daily with APPs, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary trauma teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.

Schedule and support

• 183 24-hour shifts per year, set up as structured 7-day work stretches with built-in recovery time to support balance and sustainability.
• A balanced mix of dedicated OR time and follow-up clinic sessions.
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support to enhance workflow and patient care.

What we’re looking for

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Proven experience managing high-acuity trauma cases, with strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• A commitment to delivering patient-centered, high-quality care.
