Neurosurgeon — Sacramento: $2500/Shift, 2 Weeks/Month, Strong Benefits & Trauma Support

Join a collaborative surgical team in Sacramento, California, where you’ll manage acute neurosurgical cases coming through the Emergency Department and transfer center. You’ll primarily provide consultative care for inpatients, participate in trauma and urgent cases as needed, and perform surgeries alongside experienced ED physicians, hospitalists, and a well-supported ICU team.

Compensation

• $2,500 per shift
• Opportunity to earn up to 60% of collections on elective procedures

What you’ll do

• Provide neurosurgical consultations for inpatients and acute admissions
• Manage trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases when required
• Perform operative procedures in partnership with a multidisciplinary team
• Prioritize patient safety and high-quality care
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the broader care team
• Contribute to clinical and operational decisions to improve outcomes

Who we’re looking for

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain one
• Strong communicator with a focus on patient satisfaction
• Clinically excellent and comfortable working in a team-based environment

Schedule & workload

• Predictable schedule: 2 weeks per month (26 weeks per year)
• 183 days annually qualifies as full-time
• Mix of elective and emergency procedures available
