Job Description
Join a growing neurosurgical program in Carbondale, Illinois. Full-time, part-time, or per-diem options available. Two-weeks-on / two-weeks-off schedule for predictable work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for patients with neurological conditions
- Perform a broad range of cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures with precision and clinical excellence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (neurocritical care, radiology, anesthesia, rehab, etc.) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain current knowledge of neurosurgical best practices and apply evidence-based care
- Participate in education/training of medical students and residents as needed
Schedule
- Two weeks on / two weeks off rotation
- Flexible employment model: full-time, part-time, or per-diem coverage
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Neurosurgery residency
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery
- Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one
- Demonstrated proficiency across a wide range of neurosurgical procedures
