Join a locum tenens team providing emergency care at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY, through SCP Health - Locums. Coverage begins Jul 03, 2026 and is ongoing. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Schedule and Setting
- Varied shift patterns: 7a–7p, 11a–11p, 7p–7a, 9a–5p, 4:30p–12:30a; includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- EMR: EPIC
- Reason for coverage: staffing support/coverage
Clinical Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency care and manage acute presentations in collaboration with attending physicians, RNs, and support staff
- Independently perform procedures per department protocol, including moderate sedation
- Accurately document patient encounters, orders, and clinical decision-making in EPIC
- Follow ED workflows, patient safety standards, and rapid turnover expectations
Qualifications
- Active national NP certification (AANP or ANCC) in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Active New York RN and NY NP licenses
- Active DEA registration with NY address, authorized for Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS
- New graduates considered; training and support provided
- Documentation required: CME/CEU for the past two years and case logs for the past two years
- Current immunizations and occupational health clearances: influenza, PPD or chest x-ray, physical exam, N95 fit test, and titer or proof of immunity for MMR, Hep B, and Varicella
Procedure Requirement
- Moderate sedation (must be able to perform independently)
