We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to provide on-site, school-based services to students with disabilities at a school in Rockville, Maryland. You’ll work with K–12 students and/or Infant & Toddler populations to address gross motor skills, mobility, positioning, accessibility, and functional movement needs.

What the role looks like

  • Contract position in a school setting, 1–5 days per week, up to 7 hours per day (exact schedule to be confirmed)
  • Rate: $60/hour
  • You'll deliver direct services in both individual and group formats, participate in team meetings, and support implementation of IEP goals

Key responsibilities

  • Perform PT evaluations and re-evaluations and document findings in written reports
  • Develop and support IEP goals related to mobility, postural stability, strength, endurance, and gross motor development
  • Provide push-in and pull-out services as determined by the IEP team
  • Consult with teachers, aides, and families on positioning, accessibility, and adaptive strategies
  • Assess and recommend assistive technology, wheelchairs, walkers, orthotics, and other mobility devices
  • Carry out other duties within the scope of practice as assigned

Requirements

  • Active Maryland Physical Therapist license
  • School-based pediatric PT experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based service delivery
