Locum Tenens Hematology & Oncology Physician — Outpatient (Martin, KY)

We’re seeking a board-certified Hematology/Medical Oncology physician to provide outpatient care in Martin, KY from Oct 1, 2026 through Sep 30, 2027. This locum tenens opportunity is clinical-only, with a regular schedule of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., three days per week. Lodging and a rental car are covered.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the solo outpatient hematology/oncology provider, managing an average census of about 15 patients per day.
• See a mix of cases (roughly 60% hematology, 40% solid tumors), with an approximate visit mix of 20% new consultations and 80% follow-ups.
• Supervise infusion services and manage chemotherapy treatment.
• Participate in tumor board meetings and collaborate closely with on-site APPs and RNs.

Facility and support

• Practice uses Meditech for charting.
• RN and PA/NP support are available onsite.

Requirements and logistics

• Must be board certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology and have recent patient-facing experience.
• Hospital privileges are required; credentialing typically takes about 60 days.
