Overview:
Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, delivering safe, evidence-based practice across preoperative assessment, intraoperative support, and postoperative evaluation. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety, sterile technique, accurate documentation, and efficient room turnover.

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience with at least 1 year in surgical/OR practice

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, develop and implement perioperative nursing care plans, and evaluate postoperative outcomes; document care and assessments accurately.
• Prepare and position patients for surgery, verify procedure and site with the surgical team, and assist with patient transfers to/from the operating table.
• Maintain sterile technique when assembling equipment and supplies; open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies as needed.
• Perform and document surgical counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) and complete legal nursing records.
• Assist with operating room cleanup and proper disposal of used supplies and sharps to support timely turnover and safety.
