Locum Tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — Spokane, WA (High-Volume Trauma)

Join a high-volume, fast-paced hospital system in Spokane, WA as a locum tenens CRNA providing inpatient anesthesia coverage. You’ll work full time—four weeks per month—with a minimum of three shifts per week. Shift options are 8-, 10- or 12-hour blocks. Coverage begins ASAP through May 31, 2027.

What the role looks like

• Clinical-only locum assignment supporting two facilities (about 15 minutes apart).
• You'll be part of a large anesthesia group (38 anesthesiologists, 104 CRNAs). An anesthesiologist or CRNA coordinator of the day provides backup and the Medical Director MD is available for intubations.
• Expect a high-volume surgical service: the department has 28 ORs and averages up to 75 cases per day in a 600-bed, Level II trauma center.
• Fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a procedural emphasis.

Case mix and responsibilities

• Typical case mix: 25% General, 25% Complex Vascular, 25% Neuro (head & spine), 25% Complex Orthopedics.
• Required duties: general anesthesia for adults and pediatrics, spinal anesthesia, neurosurgical cases (head & spine), and preparing the anesthesia cart. You will be supervised by an anesthesiologist during cases.

Logistics and support

• EMR: Epic.
• Hospital privileges required.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
• No week-on/week-off or piecemeal schedules—consistent monthly coverage.
• Two facilities to cover (15 minutes apart).

Qualifications

• WA license or willingness to obtain.
• Board certified (BC).
• PALS and ACLS current.
• WA DEA.
• Top-tier trauma experience is required.
