Join GoHealth–Torrington (Hartford HealthCare Locums) to provide locum tenens urgent care coverage in Torrington, CT from Oct 1, 2026 – Feb 28, 2027. Shifts are 12 hours. Travel, lodging, and malpractice are provided.
Clinical scope
- Manage a mixed urgent care caseload of minor emergencies, injuries, and illnesses for patients of all ages, including full pediatric coverage.
- No phone consults required.
- Independently perform suturing, wound care, incision & drainage, splinting, phlebotomy, and interpret X‑rays and EKGs.
- Efficiently manage patient volume and travel between GoHealth locations as needed (provider should be local or able to travel without flights; must be able to travel up to ~45 minutes and accept occasional last‑minute schedule changes).
Requirements & compliance
- Active state NP license(s) and DEA required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
- Relevant clinical experience required (total years and most recent experience to be documented).
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 90 days.
Professional expectations
- Work independently in a fast‑paced urgent care setting and split time between sites when scheduled.
