Locum Tenens Hematology & Oncology Nurse Practitioner — Outpatient Clinic, Eureka CA

Locum tenens opportunity in outpatient hematology/oncology based in Eureka, CA (95501). Full-time clinical coverage, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch. Coverage begins September 1, 2026 and is ongoing to support a long-term vacancy. Agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.

Clinical scope and duties

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care, including chemotherapy management and coordination with the oncology treatment center.
• Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 12–14 patients.
• Document all encounters and orders in Epic.
• Participate fully in the clinic schedule and collaborate with RNs, MAs, and fellow PAs/NPs as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Facility and privileges

• Outpatient setting using Epic EMR.
• Support staff: 3 RNs, 4 MAs, and 3 PA/NP colleagues.
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available. A clean file is required for temporary privileges.

Requirements

• Board certified or truly board eligible in hematology/oncology.
• Active CA license and DEA registration required.
• Minimum two years of recent hospital-based clinical experience in the specialty.
• BLS certification required.
