We’re looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join a Norfolk, VA team on a 13-week contract (non-travel). This position starts on August 10, 2026, and follows a 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM schedule. Compensation is local: $1,699 per 36 hours.
What you’ll bring
- An active, valid Respiratory Therapy state license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
What you’ll do
- Assess patients’ respiratory status, including lung function and oxygenation.
- Develop and carry out individualized respiratory care plans to improve breathing and outcomes.
- Manage and titrate mechanical ventilator settings for patients who require ventilatory support.
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies following established protocols.
- Accurately document assessments and treatments and adhere to infection control policies.
