Locum tenens CRNA position in Charleston, SC for hospital-based, clinical-only coverage starting ASAP with an ongoing assignment (minimum 3 months, option to extend). Weekend-focused schedule: either Friday & Saturday 13.5-hour shifts and Sunday 10.5-hour shift, or Saturday 13.5-hour, Sunday 10.5-hour and Monday 13.5-hour.
Practice details: Adult patients, averaging 3–5 cases per day across 21 OR suites in a Level I trauma center. Case mix includes general anesthesia, neuro/spine, orthopedics, oncology, ENT, GYN, and urology, with additional trauma, transplant, robotics, and interventional radiology cases as required. Full specialty surgical backup and support from a large anesthesia team (approximately 42 CRNAs). EMR: Epic.
Credentials and requirements: Active South Carolina CRNA license; CRNA certification; minimum 3 years’ experience; DEA as required. Epic proficiency required. Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility. Hospital privileges required; credentialing typically takes ~60 days.
Responsibilities: Provide medically directed anesthesia services at the main hospital and satellite towers (Ashley and Rutledge) as needed; document all care in Epic; complete required orientation and training; maintain assigned weekend coverage.
Compensation & benefits: Rate TBD. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
