Locum Orthopedic Hand Surgeon needed

We’re seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage at a Level II Trauma Center. This temporary role blends outpatient clinic work with 24-hour out-of-house call and is designed to help the team cover holiday and extra shifts.

Schedule

• 24-hour out-of-house call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Combined clinic and call case mix

What you’ll do

• Evaluate and manage acute orthopedic hand injuries, both in clinic and in the emergency setting
• Perform common (“bread-and-butter”) hand surgery procedures and emergency hand trauma operations
• Provide timely trauma consultations and surgical management when needed
• Participate in scheduled outpatient clinics and collaborate closely with the orthopedic and trauma teams to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Hand Surgery
• Active DEA registration
• Experience managing acute hand trauma and routine orthopedic hand conditions
