Locum Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon needed

A Level II Trauma Center seeks a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens coverage to fill intermittent scheduling gaps.

Assignment details

• Coverage: flexible intermittent (typically 2–5+ shifts/month)
• Shift format: 24-hour out-of-house call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) with clinic responsibilities
• Setting: Level II Trauma Center with 24/7 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support
• Temporary/emergency privileges available for qualified candidates

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide care for orthopedic trauma and emergency orthopedic patients in clinic and hospital
• Take 24-hour out-of-house call and manage admissions, consults, and urgent cases
• Perform operative treatment for orthopedic trauma, including:
  • Pelvic and acetabular fractures
  • General orthopedic trauma cases
  • Common hand injuries
• Collaborate with trauma services, orthopedic colleagues, and support staff to coordinate care and follow-up

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma (required)
• Experience managing complex pelvic and acetabular injuries
• Active DEA registration
