Job Description
A respected healthcare system serving multiple facilities near Midland, Michigan seeks a Locums Hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage for adult patients. Join a collaborative hospital medicine team in a well-supported clinical environment.
Location and Schedule
- Multiple facilities in the Midland, MI area
- Inpatient hospital medicine
- Preferred coverage in 3–4 consecutive-day blocks
- EMR: Epic; dictation: Dragon
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult patients: admissions, daily rounds, discharges, and care coordination
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing, case management, and ancillary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic using Dragon
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while maintaining efficient patient flow
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program
- Active Michigan medical license
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- All required certifications must be AHA-issued
