Orthopedic Total Joints Surgeon (BC/BE) — Fly-In Rural Nevada, Predictable Call

Board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeon needed to join an established orthopedic program serving a rural Nevada community. Full-scope practice with emphasis on total joint/reconstructive work, predictable schedule, and full travel support; no relocation required.

Position overview

• Full-scope orthopedic practice: elective and acute care, including total joints, arthroscopy, hand, and basic fracture care
• Fly-in model: provider travels to site; licensing and all travel expenses covered
• 24/7 ED orthopedic call coverage delivered via predictable shift schedule (10 shifts/month)
• Shifts selected 120 days in advance
• Onsite clinic with protected OR time
• Hospitalist-supported admissions
• Collaborative, established surgical team
• Focus on growing elective volume

Compensation and benefits

• $3,195 per shift
• Full benefits package including medical, CME allowance, 401(k)
• Malpractice insurance with tail coverage
• No non-compete agreement

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training or substantial experience in Total Joint Replacement preferred
• Eligible for Nevada medical licensure (licensing support provided)
• Ability to manage elective and acute orthopedic cases
• Willing to participate in ED call coverage per program model
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care
