Locum Tenens Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Mesa, AZ

Location
Mesa, Arizona — hospital-based, high-acuity trauma center.

Role summary
Provide operative and non-operative care for orthopedic trauma patients within a physician-led team. Work alongside an additional orthopedic trauma surgeon in a collaborative, well-supported clinical environment.

Schedule

• 24-hour shifts, ~183 shifts annually (flexible scheduling options)
• Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches
• Built-in recovery time between rotations
• Mix of OR, inpatient, and follow-up clinic responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities

• Operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma
• Trauma call coverage at a high-volume center
• Complex fracture care including pelvic and acetabular injuries
• Coordinate care with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
• Balance surgical cases, inpatient management, and outpatient follow-up
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
• Experience in high-acuity trauma care required
• Strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management preferred
• Active Arizona medical license or willingness to obtain
