Locums Cardiovascular Surgeon — Weekend/Holiday 24Hour Call Coverage (Greenville, SC)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Dates & Shift: 24-hour call coverage from Friday, July 3 at 5:00 PM through Monday, July 6 at 7:00 AM (holiday weekend). Weekend/on-call coverage required. Hospital-based practice.

Coverage/Setting:

• Hospital rounding, inpatient cardiovascular surgical coverage, emergent/urgent operative care as needed
• Work within a multidisciplinary team (surgical colleagues, anesthesia, ICU/critical care, nursing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cardiovascular surgery call coverage for the assigned weekend
• Perform hospital rounds and manage inpatient cardiovascular surgical patients
• Evaluate and treat acute cardiovascular surgical conditions
• Perform emergent and urgent procedures as indicated
• Coordinate care with hospital staff and subspecialty teams
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EMR

Required Procedures & Experience:

• Aneurysm repair
• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
• Heart valve replacement procedures
• Other cardiothoracic procedures as indicated
• Comfortable managing complex cases and emergent interventions

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Fellowship training in cardiovascular (cardiothoracic) surgery
• Board certified in cardiovascular surgery
• Active South Carolina medical license (candidates requiring licensure will not be considered)
• Current ACLS certification
