Locum CRNA – Ocala, FL (Full-Time, High-Acuity Surgery, Cardiac/Trauma Focus)

Join a high-acuity surgical team in Ocala, FL, as a locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. This full-time assignment features a diverse case mix, collaborative staff, flexible scheduling, and optional call participation.

Assignment details

• Full-time availability required
• 14-hour weekday shifts (13-hour shifts may be considered)
• Highest need on Mondays and Fridays
• Weekend coverage required

Call schedule

• Call rotation participation preferred but not mandatory
• Typical frequency: ~2 call shifts every 6 weeks, including:
  • One weekday call: 3:30 PM–7:00 AM
  • One weekend day shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Case mix

• Cardiac, orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, vascular
• Endoscopy, gynecology, robotics, trauma
• No pediatrics or obstetrics

Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical procedures
• Perform regional blocks, spinals, central and arterial line placements
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams
• Ensure patient safety and quality throughout the perioperative period
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation

Requirements

• Active Florida CRNA license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in regional anesthesia, spinals, and line placement
