Location: Northampton and Amherst, MA
Overview
Provide clinical leadership and oversight across primary care practices. Maintain an active clinical panel (70% clinical, 30% administrative) to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care, support providers, optimize operations, and advance continuous improvement and value-based initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain active clinical practice (≈70% FTE) and dedicate ≈30% FTE to administrative/leadership duties
- Establish and enforce clinical standards, quality metrics, and patient safety programs
- Mentor, evaluate, and support physician and advanced practice providers; lead performance improvement efforts
- Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee risk management and credentialing processes
- Optimize care delivery: workflows, staffing models, access, and efficiency
- Lead population health and value-based care initiatives, including payer program participation
- Use EHR and data analytics to monitor outcomes, reduce variation, and drive improvement
- Oversee patient experience efforts and service recovery processes
- Collaborate with practice and organizational leadership on strategic planning and clinical operations
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $250,000–$300,000 (DOE)

Qualifications
- MD or DO with active Massachusetts medical license or willingness to obtain one
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- 2–5 years outpatient primary care experience
- Prior experience as a Medical Director, Lead Physician, or equivalent clinical leadership role
- Demonstrated skills in clinical quality improvement, communication, and team development
- Experience with population health, payer programs, practice transformation, or health informatics preferred
- Training or certification in leadership, quality improvement, or informatics is a plus
