Locums CRNA (Float) — Clare/Gladwin/West Branch, MI (Independent Practice)

We’re looking for a Locum CRNA to float between Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch, Michigan, providing independent anesthesia coverage across a range of common cases in a supportive rural setting. This role offers autonomy, a varied caseload, and a predictable weekday schedule with a manageable call rotation.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Typical shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Call

• Call primarily based in Clare
• Rotation: 1:3
• 1-hour response time for Clare
• No OB call
• Weeknight call coverage until 11:00 PM
• Weekend call coverage 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Expect 1–2 holidays per year

Practice Setting

• Independent CRNA practice model
• Mostly outpatient (approximately 80–90% outpatient / 10–20% inpatient)
• EMR: Epic

Case Mix & Procedures

• Bread-and-butter general anesthesia cases
• Scopes / GI (note: GI cases located at Gladwin)
• Laparoscopic abdominal procedures
• Ophthalmology (cataracts)
• Podiatry (about 4 days per month)
• Orthopedics (about 1/2 day per month; includes blocks)
• Vascular cases occasionally (roughly 1 day per month)
• Cardiology procedures (TEEs, cardioversions)
• General anesthetics and MAC cases
• Regional anesthesia: blocks are optional; support and refreshers available if desired
• Ward and Emergency Department support as needed (IV access, airway management, anesthesia expertise)

Requirements

• Active Michigan nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification
• Experience practicing independently is preferred
