Job Summary:

HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is seeking a full-time Chief of Emergency Medicine to lead our practice in Okeechobee, Florida.

Qualified Candidates

·       Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)

·       Will consider Board-Certified Family Medicine (ABFM) or Board-Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) with a minimum of 24 months of current Emergency Medicine experience

·       Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

·       Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Emergency Department

·       30,000 Emergency Medicine visits per year

·       14-bed Emergency Department, including 3 fast-track including 2 dedicated trauma rooms

·       Multi-million-dollar expansion starting in early spring 2026 adding 11 additional bays, 2 behavioral health safe rooms, dedicated physician workspace

·       20% admission rate

·       24 hours of physician coverage

·       24 hours of APP coverage

·       Active partnership with sister facility for Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and Pediatric support/transfers

·       24/7 access to HCA Florida Healthcare Patient Transfer Centers
