Locum Tenens OB/GYN Laborist — In-House Call (24-hr), Fargo; Epic, VBACs/C-Sections, Travel Lodging Covered

Call schedule: 24-hour shifts, 2–3 days/month (weekdays preferred)

Clinical responsibilities:

• Provide in-house laborist coverage: deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, and OB emergencies
• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Work collaboratively with midwives and nursing staff
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds and fetal monitoring (NST/CST/FSE)
• Repair 3rd/4th-degree lacerations
• Provide office/minor gynecology procedures and select surgical gynecology as described below

Patient volume & case mix:

• Average deliveries: 120/month
• Case mix: OB/GYN, low- and high-risk pregnancies, VBACs, C-sections

Facility:

• Service setting: Inpatient
• Department: 16 LDRP rooms
• EMR: Epic

Privileges & compliance:

• Temporary hospital privileges available; permanent hospital privileges not required

Required clinical skills/procedures:

• Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Fetal heart rate interpretation; NST/CST/FSE
• OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation; Level I/screening)
• Routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
• Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor gynecology: IUD, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, cystoscopy, etc.
• Surgical gynecology:
  • Minor/open and laparoscopic diagnostic procedures (tubal ligation, LOA)
  • Major/operative procedures as needed (ectopic pregnancy management, oophorectomy, cystectomy, operative LOA)

Qualifications:

• Board certified in OB/GYN
• ND medical license or participation in IMLC
• Comfortable with VBACs and C-sections
• Epic experience strongly preferred
