Required Credentials:
- Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP
Scope of Practice:
- Provide care across obstetrics: labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery
- Monitor, assess, document, and intervene per unit protocols for OB patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for patient care and transfers
- Float to the medical-surgical floor when no obstetric patients are present
Compliance and Performance:
- Maintain required certifications and licensure throughout assignment
- Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements
