Scope of work:

• Use the nursing process and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to care for skilled nursing patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, facility policies, standards of care, and Wisconsin state practice law.
• Develop, initiate, implement, and document individualized patient care plans per physician orders and hospital policy; provide patient and family instruction.
• Document care in accordance with standards of care and facility expectations.
• Participate in unit/department performance improvement activities, including shared governance as applicable.
• Provide clinical guidance to other units/departments to support continuity of patient care.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience; escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
