Role overview:
Provide emergency and trauma nursing care in the ED, working independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and respond to stroke, STEMI, and trauma activations.

Requirements:

• Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start. Candidates not currently licensed in HI must apply upon acceptance of offer.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in Emergency/Trauma settings.
• Proficient IV skills.
• Familiar with core measures, National Patient Safety Goals, AIDET, and Press Ganey service expectations.
• Mandatory certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS.
• NRP preferred.
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications requested but not mandatory.

Key responsibilities:

• Triage, assess, and manage emergency patients according to ED protocols.
• Initiate and maintain IV access, administer medications, and monitor patient status.
• Activate and participate in Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma response teams.
• Document care accurately and meet core measure and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members; follow AIDET principles.
