Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician — Sault Ste. Marie, MI (12-hr Shifts)

Hospital: 49-bed facility (9 OB beds) with an active trauma team. Emergency Department volume ~45 visits/day.

Scope of work:

• Provide emergency medical care for adult and pediatric patients across a range of urgent and emergent conditions.
• Collaborate with the trauma team for trauma activations and higher-acuity cases.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in Meditech EMR.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (options: 0700–1900 or 1900–0700).
• Approximately 8 shifts per month; preference for at least one 4-day stretch.

Required qualifications:

• Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Emergency Medicine.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• Active Michigan medical license and DEA registration, or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Letter of Qualification.
