Lead Patient Care with Baptist Primary Care

Baptist Primary Care is seeking an experienced, board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director and Chief Attending Physician at River Garden in Jacksonville, Florida.

This full-time position offers a rewarding combination of clinical care and physician leadership. You will oversee the care and services provided to patients and residents while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to advance quality, safety, and clinical outcomes.

With an average daily volume of 10–15 patients and light call responsibilities, this opportunity provides a manageable clinical schedule and the ability to make a meaningful leadership impact.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for patient and resident care
• Help ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives
• Support infection prevention and control activities
• Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics, resident care, departmental, and other leadership meetings
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve care delivery and patient outcomes
• Model and promote safe and compliant clinical practices

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for Florida licensure
• Current DEA registration
• Five or more years of clinical experience
• Experience caring for geriatric patients
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
