Compensation

• $4,300 per 24-hour shift

Clinical responsibilities
Trauma & Acute Care Surgery

• Respond to trauma activations and manage operative and non-operative trauma patients
• Perform emergency general and acute care surgical procedures
• Evaluate and manage acute care surgery consultations
• Participate in inpatient rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Contribute to trauma quality and performance improvement activities

Surgical Critical Care

• Provide ICU coverage and manage critically ill trauma and surgical patients
• Coordinate care with anesthesia, nursing, emergency medicine, and specialty teams

Teaching responsibilities

• Supervise and teach General Surgery residents and Surgical Critical Care fellows at the bedside
• Participate in trauma activations, rounds, OR cases, ICU care, M&M conferences, simulation, and didactics as appropriate

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Fellowship training in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care required
• Current or eligible California medical license
