Medical Director Opportunity
Providence Swedish Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist (PM&R) to serve as Medical Director of our state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Seattle, Washington. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a growing rehabilitation program while enjoying the autonomy and earning potential of an independent contractor model.
As Medical Director, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the clinical vision of the hospital, collaborating with an experienced interdisciplinary team, and ensuring delivery of high-quality rehabilitative care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions, complex neurological disorders, and other disabling illnesses.

Medical Director Responsibilities
- Provide physician leadership for the inpatient rehabilitation program
- Collaborate with hospital administration on quality, compliance, and strategic initiatives
- Participate in medical staff development and physician recruitment efforts
- Promote patient-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation care
- Support accreditation, regulatory, and quality improvement activities
- Foster strong relationships with referring physicians, acute care partners, and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Eligible for Washington medical licensure
- Previous leadership experience preferred, but emerging physician leaders are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary rehabilitation care and clinical excellence
